This week we looked at John 11, in which Jesus demonstrated how he is the resurrection and the life in the most amazing way, by raising Lazarus from the dead.

This week we looked at John 10, which gives us the statement “I am the good shepherd”, and paints for us a beautiful picture of how Jesus cares for us as his sheep.
A Man Born Blind

This week we looked at John 9, in which Jesus heals a man who was born blind. The man was then questioned by the Pharisees and was forced to defend the miraculous healing that had just occurred.
I am the Light of the World

This week we looked at John 8:12-20, which gives us the statement “I am the Light of the world”, after which Jesus defends his authority after being questioned by the Pharisees.

This week we looked at John 6:1-5,29-40, which gives us the account of Jesus feeding the 5,000, and how Jesus gives us much more than just physical food to sustain us.

Advent Through the Eyes of King Herod
This Sunday, we looked at Matthew 2:1-18 as we considered Advent from a different perspective then we would normally consider: King Herod.
Advent Through the Eyes of the Magi
This Sunday we looked at the birth of Christ through the eyes of the magi, based on Matthew 2:1-12.
Advent Through the Eyes of the Shepherds
This Sunday as we studied Luke 2:8-20 as we looked at Advent through the eyes of the Shepherds. We talked about why God might have chosen to announce the birth of Christ to them, and what this means for us.
God With Us
We are in the season of Advent as we prepare for the birth of Christ. This week we had a guest speaker, Claire Strunk of Communitas Church, who spoke to us about God’s presence, and how it doesn’t always feel like it should. The text for this Sunday was Matthew 1:18-25.
Old & New Covenants
This is the last sermon in our fall series “Exodus & Exile: God in the Wilderness,” which has taken us back to the Old Testament where we explored the two themes of “Exodus” and “Exile” throughout the book of Exodus and beyond. We are now in the second portion of our series in which we look at the them of “Exile” throughout the Old Testament.
This week we heard Mark preach from Jeremiah 31:43 and Ezekiel 36:25-27 as he talked about some of the covenants that we hear about in the Old Testament, and how they ultimately failed, but were replaced by a much better and completely different New Covenant.

We are almost done with our fall series “Exodus & Exile: God in the Wilderness,” which has taken us back to the Old Testament where we explored the two themes of “Exodus” and “Exile” throughout the book of Exodus and beyond. We are now in the second portion of our series in which we look at the them of “Exile” throughout the Old Testament.
This week we heard Mark talk about the life of a Jew in exile in Babylon, and the view that Christianity in America is on its way into exile. He also reminds us of the words from Jeremiah 29:1-7 which gave the Jews in exile some unexpected advice.

This week we heard Krysann bring us into the world of Esther as she talked about the enmity that has existed among us, even among our families, and the new way that Jesus and the Gospel provides which can lead to reconciliation.
What Is Lament?
We are continuing on in our fall series “Exodus & Exile: God in the Wilderness,” which takes us back to the Old Testament where we explore the two themes of “Exodus” and “Exile” throughout the book of Exodus and beyond.
This week we began the second portion of our series as we explored the realities of hardship and sadness that are a part of the world we live in, and how God can meet us as we experience these difficult realities.. We looked at Lamentations 1:1-5 which provided the opening thoughts for exploring the theme of Exile.
The Golden Calf
We are continuing on in our fall series “Exodus & Exile: God in the Wilderness,” which takes us back to the Old Testament where we explore the two themes of “Exodus” and “Exile” throughout the book of Exodus and beyond.
This week we looked at Exodus chapter 32:1-20, in which the Israelites turned to worship a golden calf while Moses was up on Mt. Sinai.
More Than Enough
We are continuing on in our fall series “Exodus & Exile: God in the Wilderness,” which takes us back to the Old Testament where we explore the two themes of “Exodus” and “Exile” throughout the book of Exodus and beyond.
This week we looked at Exodus chapter 25 (along with selections from chapters 35 and 36), in which God gave the Israelites instructions on building the tabernacle. We hear how God asked them to provide the precious materials from the possessions that God had given them, and how this perspective can help us focus our own hearts on what “giving” really means.
