We are continuing on in our fall series “Exodus & Exile: God in the Wilderness,” which takes us back to the Old Testament where we explore the two themes of “Exodus” and “Exile” throughout the book of Exodus and beyond.
This week we looked at Exodus chapter 25 (along with selections from chapters 35 and 36), in which God gave the Israelites instructions on building the tabernacle. We hear how God asked them to provide the precious materials from the possessions that God had given them, and how this perspective can help us focus our own hearts on what “giving” really means.
