What is this “Mobile Acts of Kindness” thing?
As a church, we’re committed to serving our community in any way we can. Sometimes, that means spontaneous opportunities to serve others. Small, random acts that can make a big difference for people who are our neighbors. It might mean attending a school parade to show support. It might mean volunteering to help a community event in the Perry District. It might mean just showing up and letting someone know you care. When you give us your mobile phone number and join our “Mobile Acts of Kindness” list, you’ll receive text messages that let you know when and where you can do something small to help someone out–usually on the day of the opportunity. (Don’t worry; we won’t deluge you–maybe once a week or so.)
To join the group, just text “Join emmaus” to 704-323-7775, or fill out the form below.
And while you’re at it, why not give us your email address so we can let you know when we’ve posted new messages, events and opportunities on our web site?
