Missional Communities

Missional Communities
gospel shaped…shared life…on mission

There is a world of difference between volunteering (serving) in a church “ministry program” and committing to discipleship. We take seriously the command of Christ to go into all the world and make disciples. In the past discipleship has been viewed more as a mental learning process done through “christian education”, we believe that just as Jesus called his first 12 disciples he is calling us to FOLLOW HIM. Missional Communities are our way of partnering with God and each other in His mission to rescue a lost and dying world.

understanding the gospel through strong community with an outward focus

Each Missional Community is
-gaining a fuller understanding of the Gospel (john 17:17; eph 1:15-23; titus 2:11-13; phil 1:3-11)
-experiencing deepening relationships (john 17:20-22; john 13:34-35; prov. 27:17; eph 2:14-22; )
-serving in their unique mission within the larger community (john 17:15-19; eph. 2:10; 2 cor 5:15; rom 12:1-2)

Simply put these are smaller discipleship groups that are built around the good news, living in community, and serving outside the walls of a church building. These communities gather regularly, eat together, pray together, and challenge one another to bring the message of Christ into the deeper realities of their life. They are regularly taking that Gospel that Christ came to proclaim into the world that Christ gave His life for. Not just in events or programs but rather a rhythm of everyday life.
